“Why Do You Say ‘Democrat’ When You Know it’s ‘Democratic?'”

This subtle bit of wordplay has been written in before, and it's not exactly new. It goes back at least as far as the 1920s, and Herbert Hoover used it in 1932 as a deliberate taunt.
